Baltic dry bulk freight index rose to a four-month high

According to foreign news on May 14th, the Baltic Sea Shipping Exchange's dry bulk freight index rose to a four-month high on Tuesday, due to increased demand for Panamax and Capesize vessels.
The overall dry bulk freight index rose 17 points, or 1.7%, to 1,043 points, the highest level since January 21.
The Capesize freight index rose 57 points, or 4%, to 1,462 points, the highest level since late January.
The daily average profit of the Capesize vessel rose by US$278 to US$12,134. This type of ship usually carries 17-180,000 tons of cargo, and the cargo is iron ore and coal.
The Panamax freight rate index rose 18 points or 1.5% to 1,229 points, the highest level since January 8.
The average daily profit of Panamax vessels rose by $143 to $9,837. This type of ship usually carries between 60,000 and 70,000 tons of cargo, and the cargo is usually coal or grain.
The Super Handysize freight index rose by 1 point to 783 points.
