Supply tight demand, strong iron ore futures prices rose for three weeks
Release time:Apr 16, 2019 From:ADMIN
Recently, iron ore prices have been hovering around the five-year high, leading to higher futures prices. On Friday, the most active 2018 September iron ore futures price on the Dalian Commodity Exchange was up 2.2% in early trading, and the Australian East Standard Time was trading at 652 yuan (US$96.99) per tonne at 12:13, which has been this week. It rose by 3.7%, and it also rose for three consecutive weeks.
The reason for the rise in iron ore prices is tight supply and strong demand. According to the forecast of Westpac, due to Brazilian mine disasters and Hurricane Veronica in Australia, there is a gap of about 34 million tons of iron ore supply this year. At the same time, the demand for iron ore from Chinese steel mills has been strong, stimulating the price of iron ore.
