Vietnam Imposes AD duty on Coated Steel from China & South Korea

Release time:Oct 31, 2019 From:admin

Vietnam has imposed antidumping duty on imports of certain coated steel products from South Korea and China after domestic producers said unfair pricing from overseas competitors caused them to shut down production lines. Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade imposed anti-dumping duties of 2.53%-34.27% on China and 4.71%-19.25% on South Korea for 5 years. The tariffs became effective on October 24

MoIT said it started the investigation in October last year, based on the evaluation results of a dossier requesting the application of anti-dumping measures submitted by representatives of the domestic steelmakers in August 2018. It co-ordinated with relevant agencies to assess the dumping’s impact on the domestic steel industry. The investigation was conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Foreign Trade Management, the WTO Anti-Dumping Agreement and related regulations.
