Nippon Iron Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. announced on June 26 that the price of nickel stainless steel wire such as SUS 304, which was contracted from June to August 2019 (shipped from July to September 2019), remained unchanged, while the price of chromium stainless steel wire such as SUS 430 was increased by 5,000 yen/ton to reflect the change of raw material prices of nickel and chromium alloys. This is its nickel stainless steel wire price remains unchanged for two consecutive quarters, chromium stainless steel wire price increases again every other year.
Japan's largest producer of stainless steel wire, Nippon Precision Line, recently announced that in July 2019, the contract price of nickel stainless steel wire such as SUS304 remained unchanged, while the contract price of chromium stainless steel wire such as SUS430 increased by 5,000 yen/ton.
