In order to meet India's growing steel demand, the Korean Hyundai Iron and Steel Service Center No. 2, which was built in Anandabar, India, has been put into trial operation recently. The steel service center has been built since February, 2018. It will be completed by the end of 2018 with an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons. It is scheduled to be put into operation in mid-March this year.

Modern iron-making is expected to increase India's consumption of high-quality steel, including automotive steel, in the future, but at the same time, India does not have sufficient self-supply capacity. It is reported that modern iron-making entered the Indian iron and steel market in 2007, and its No. 1 steel service center has an annual production capacity of 250,000 tons.

It is understood that KIA has been building a factory in India since November 2017. It is planned to be completed in September this year with an annual output of 300,000 vehicles. (Liu Yang)

Recently, the responsible person of modern iron-making said that modern iron-making will raise the price of threaded steel in March. In February, the price of its threaded steel has risen by 14,000 won/ton (about 12.47 US dollars/ton) annually, reaching 700,000 won/ton (about 623.33 US dollars/ton).

However, the person in charge pointed out that the price of modern iron-making screw steel in February did not meet its previous plan. According to the plan, the price of rebar in February should be 754,000 won/ton (about 671.42 US dollars/ton). Therefore, modern iron-making decided to raise the price of threaded steel.

It is reported that the shipment of modern iron-making threaded steel is in good condition.
