Jefferies raises iron ore price forecast for this year and next year
Release time:Jun 13, 2019 From:admin
Jefferies raised its iron ore price forecast for the next two years, raising its price estimate for 2019 to 13% to $98 per ton, and raising its 2020 price estimate by 6.3% to $85 per ton.
The bank said that after rising 0.6% to $106.50 per ton on Wednesday, spot iron ore prices have climbed 46% year-to-date.
Jefferies said that due to strong demand from Chinese steel mills, iron ore stocks continued to fall, which supported the price at a nearly five-year high.
