US investigation on the launch of double-anti-sunset review of stainless steel welding pressure pipes in China

On June 4, 2019, the US Department of Commerce issued a notice to launch a second anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review of imported stainless steel welded pressure pipes (CircularWeldedAustenitic, StainlessPressurePipe), imported from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. The welding pressure pipe initiates the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation. At the same time, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) initiated a second anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review of industrial damage investigations on products imported from China, and initiated the first anti-dumping sunset review of products imported from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. If the industrial damages are investigated, if the double-counter measures are abolished, whether the substantial damage caused by the imports of the products involved in the US domestic industry will continue or reoccur within a reasonable and predictable period. Stakeholders shall submit a response to the US Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of publication of this announcement, and shall submit a response to the US International Trade Commission by July 3, 2019, and no later than August 15, 2019. The adequacy of the response to the case was submitted to the US International Trade Commission for comment.

On August 12, 2014, the United States first extended the countervailing duty on products involved in China. On June 6, 2013, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation on stainless steel welded pressure pipes imported from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. On July 21, 2014, the United States officially imposed anti-dumping duties on products involved in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. The United States coordinated tariffs for the products involved are mainly 7306.40.5005, 7306.40.5040, 7306.40.5062, 7306.40.5064, 7306.40.5085 and tax numbers 7306.40.1010, 7306.40.1015, 7306.40.5042, 7306.40.5044, 7306.40. 5080 and 7306.40.5090
