Release time:May 13, 2019 From:admin

Sina US stock news Beijing time on the 26th morning, gold futures prices closed higher on Thursday. Economic data has revived concerns about global economic growth, and the rebound in gold prices from a four-month low and the improvement in gold futures technical graphics prompted some investors to make short covering.

On Thursday, gold spot prices closed up 0.1% to close at $1,276.43 per ounce. US gold futures prices closed up 0.3 US dollars to close at 1279.70 US dollars / ounce.

Unexpected deterioration in economic data from Germany and South Korea has sparked concerns about the global economic downturn, putting pressure on global stock markets.

Ross Strachan, an analyst at brokerage Capital Economics, said: "The adjustment of the stock market provides some support for gold. However, the gold market is still looking for a catalyst for major initiatives, and there is not much motivation in both directions."

He said: "The gold market is waiting for more changes. We are about to usher in the US gross domestic product (GDP) report, which is expected to have a significant impact on the US dollar."

US gross domestic product data will be released on Friday, and economists predict that GDP will increase by 2.1% in the first quarter.
