On April 5, 2019, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) voted for the preliminary ruling on anti-dumping industry damage to carbon and steel steel screws (Carbon and AlloySteelThreadedRod) imported from mainland China, India, Taiwan and Thailand, while importing from mainland China and India. The products involved in the case made a preliminary ruling on the anti-subsidy industry, and ruled that the products involved in the government subsidies and dumpings caused substantial damage to the US domestic industry. In the ruling, all five members voted positive. Based on the affirmative ruling of the US International Trade Commission, the US Department of Commerce is expected to make a preliminary anti-subsidy ruling on May 17, 2019, and an anti-dumping preliminary ruling on July 31, 2019. This case involves some products under the tariffs 7318.15.5051, 7318.15.5056 and 7318.15.5090 and some products under the tax numbers 7318.15.2095 and 7318.19.0000.

On March 14, 2019, in response to an application filed by the US company VulcanThreaded Products Inc. on February 21, 2019, the US Department of Commerce announced an anti-dumping investigation against carbon steel steel screws imported from China, India, Taiwan and Thailand. Initiated a countervailing investigation on imported products from China and India. According to US statistics, the total imports of carbon-alloy steel screws imported from China, India, Taiwan, and Thailand in 2018 were approximately $104.7 million, $35.8 million, $51.1 million, and $5.8 million, respectively.
