Reichmann had been serving as deputy chief executive since the retirement of former chief executive Paul Martin in late 2018, according to the Scunthorpe Telegraph. Prior to that, he served as chief financial officer, a role he held since joining the company in 2017.
“I’m delighted to have been appointed to this role and look forward to working with our employees, customers and suppliers to grow British Steel,” Reichmann said in a statement.
